Wool fleece show & Sale
Dedicated to quality fleeces for hand spinning, the fleece show accepts entries for judging in a range of categories. Fleeces must be from the current 2010 wool crop and owned by the exhibitor. Each fleece must be clean, free of chaff, burrs, tags and second cuts, skirted and in a clear plastic, untied bag. The exhibitor bears responsibility for entering fleeces in the proper classes. While every effort will be made to display and care for entered fleeces, the Great Lakes Fiber Show assumes no responsibility for damaged, lost, stolen or erroneously sold fleeces.

Fleece entries will be accepted 8:30am –12, on Saturday, with fleece sales beginning at noon. Judging begins at 1:00pm, and purchased fleeces may not be removed until ½ hour after the judging is completed.

All fleeces must be brought to the Fleece Show area between 9am and noon Saturday. An entry tag will be provided for each fleece. Fleeces will not be weighed, and the price of whole fleece is set by exhibitor. All fleeces entered for sale must have been entered in the fleece show. A fleece that is NOT FOR SALE must be clearly marked. Checks from sales of fleeces and premium money will be mailed to exhibitors. All unsold and not-for-sale fleeces will be released at 4:00 on Sunday and must be removed by 5:00 pm .  Any unclaimed fleeces will be disposed of at the discretion of the committee.

The entry fee is $2.00 per fleece for show or sale. The pre-registration form must be received by May 1. Late entries will be accepted with a late entry fee of $5.00 per fleece. All fleeces are subject to a will be a 10% sale commission.
