About Us
Now in its eighteenth year, the Great Lakes Fiber Show has grown from a one building craft show in the early 1990’s to a show with fiber vendors filling four buildings along with additional outside vendors.
The Wayne County Fairgrounds, 199 Vanover St., Wooster, Ohio, is an ideal location for the show. It has superior buildings for vendors and the grounds are very well kept. All streets on the grounds are blacktopped.
Show hours will run from 10am-5pm on Saturday and 10am-4pm on Sunday. Admission is free and food including roast lamb sandwiches will be available on the fairgrounds.
Vendor booths will feature raw fiber to finished items; spinning, weaving, and knitting supplies, along with fiber related crafts. Last year there were over 80 vendors and this year looks to be at least that many. There will be a wool fleece show and sale and a skein competition. Workshops will be presented with pre-registration and fees required. Free demonstrations and kids activities will also be going on.

The Great Lakes Sheep Show and Sale will be going on at the same time. Several breeds of sheep will be judged and then auctioned off to the highest bidder. We are pleased to have the Eastern Angora Goat and Mohair Association join us this year. In addition the white and colored angora goat shows there will also be a mohair fleece competition and sale.
