The color-stranded knitting method varies widely with many different techniques, construction methods and fabrics. For this workshop, two types of kits in several colors will be available: worsted-weight yarn with a simple chart and fingering-weight yarn and a more challenging pattern. Starting with knitted swatches, we will discuss holding yarns, changing colors, reading charts, and much more. You’ll leave with information about your personal stranded-knitting gauge, a completed swatch, the beginning of a project, and an easy way to keep track of samples.

Supplies: Circular needles in 16″ US 7 and 8 OR double pointed needle sets (5 needles) in US #1, 2, and 3; stitch markers, scissors, and any other needle notions you typically use.
