Beginning Knitting

If you haven’t knitted for a while and can’t remember how to cast on or have never knitted, then this is the class for you.

(Saturday 1-4)

Instructor: Nancy Davenport

Skill Level: Beginner                         Class Limit: 5

This class will teach the basic knitting skills. Students will learn to cast on stitches. Then they will learn how to make knit stitches and purl stitches and how to bind off those stitches.

Supplies Students should bring a pair of straight 10-inch knitting needles in size 7, 8 or 9 and at least a 50-gram/1.75 oz ball of light or bright colored yarn in worsted weight. A knitting kit, which includes needles and yarn, can be purchased from the instructor for approximately $10
